We are thrilled to share that construction of the new school is making steady progress. This school will not only provide education, but also a brighter future for the girls of Melissa’s Place and the surrounding community.

As the year comes to a close, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for all you’ve done to support Melissa’s Place. Your contributions have made an extraordinary impact—helping us protect, nurture, and empower these young girls.
This holiday season, we invite you to consider a special gesture: making an additional gift to Melissa’s Place or donating in honor of someone you love. It’s a meaningful way to celebrate the spirit of giving while supporting our mission to create lasting change. Any level of giving is appreciated as we begin to raise funds for basic classroom furnishings and supplies (total cost around $15,000 for the six classrooms). If anyone desires to make a “Personal Legacy” contribution to furnish an entire room, we have several options available so please reach out.
Beaumont, Haiti, December 4, 2024: Progress on the foundation of our new school - Melissa's Place can be seen in the background. This is a critical & difficult phase - as the area is prone to impact by strong hurricanes and earthquakes and the soil is very rocky. Fortunately, the construction team is experienced in this rugged terrain and against these tough elements.
